Go beyond your intellect
Text Gitta Magnell
Name: Bengt Stern Age: 70 tomorrow Celebrate: Mullingstorps 15th anniversary Profession: Medical doctor, physicist, cosmologist, author, lecturer and course leader in self-knowledge. Personal God: Doctor and psychologist Wilhelm Reich Motto: Go beyond your intellect!
It is unnecessary to die says Bengt Stern. He is a master of dramatic expressions. But the fact is that Bengt Stern, throughout his own life, has proved that one doesnt need to die early of a life threatening disease such as cancer.
Of course man has a biological terminal age he confesses, but he wants to make that age 120 years.
Fifteen years ago, Bengt Stern founded Mullingstorp, an institute for advanced self-knowledge. Since then more than 3500 stressed and burnt out people have participated in the courses which he has developed at his familys estate at Vikbolandet outside Norrköping.
The institute works with personal development, preventative health care and self-treatment for mental and physical ill-health. Well educated therapists and doctors work at Mullingstorp, using the methods that Bengt Stern created in the 1970s.
I teach the course participants to take responsibility for their lives and to find the root of their troubles. Its about awakening their sub-consciousness through psychotherapy and other exercises which take them beyond their intellect, says Bengt Stern and he points out that he himself is not a therapist but a cosmologist. His next book is about how the universe, a self-regulating energy system, works.
In his book Feeling bad is a good start, he clearly and concisely relates his own experiences of how the way back to good health can be through panic and fear of death. Thus, he became aware of the principles of the universe, of that which he calls interaction between the limited and the unlimited world.
We are on this earth to develop ourselves. Picture a roundabout operator. He has to stand in the middle otherwise he will be thrown out into space when the roundabout goes round. That is how life works the more you blame others the closer you come to falling off the cliff. You must take responsibility if you dont want to be thrown off.
The Universe gives us signals to help us find the balance and leave enough space for other people. The idea is that we will be reconciled with ourselves and others. But not until we dare to let go of control and experience the pain of not being good enough we can leave the pain behind us. After that we can loving, meaningful and creative lives he means.
In psychology, this is called integration of thought and feeling.
But that is pure physics he says proudly.
Mullingstorp, nowadays, focuses on courses in self-knowledge for top businessmen and the rehabilitation of people on long-term sick-leave. The National Health and Social Welfare send participants. Together with the Karolinska Medical Institute Mullingstorp is running a research project in order to investigate how the quality of life is changed after a course at Mullingstorp.
We work with different bio-resonance instruments, which allow the energies to flow again. These instruments have been used in Germany and Switzerland for more than 30 years. We can, of course, never replace self-knowledge with instruments. It is just an aid.
All these treatments are based on Bengt Sterns own experiences in fighting cancer. When he, six years ago, was diagnosed with cancer of the bone marrow he began to travel all around the world to study everyone who works with alternative cancer treatment. For one third of his time, he still meets other doctors abroad.
My own experience of cancer patients is that they all carry painful childhood memories, feelings of not having the right to exist. Early in life they have taken on guilt and used their intellect to protect themselves. In principle, mental depression is a sickness as dangerous as cancer. The body reacts with high levels of stress hormones, one starts breathe shallowly and the body becomes acid and heavy metals remain in the body.
Bengt Stern has, himself, suffered all this but has succeeded in freeing himself from it.
And I keep myself young by being together with young people.
